I'm a Bromley based designer and builder covering South East London

Thanks for visiting my website.

I'm a builder by trade, having studied architecture and worked for some time in an architects office back home in Romania, where I also completed projects on a freelance basis from design right through to building and finished interiors.

I have a passion for beautiful interiors and curiosity for bespoke design - you name it I've probably made it, from uniquely

welded post boxes, to restoring antique coving!

I've recently gone freelance having worked for several years restoring and managing Grade Listed buildings so have fair availability over the coming months.

Services

Design and technical drawings

I trained in Architecture in Romania before working with an architect firm as well as designing and building projects on a freelance basis. I can measure up your space and provide drawings, plans and ideas for interior reconfigurations, I've collated some design examples below.

Building projects

I'm a builder by trade and can work from my own or others designs on a variety of builds, solo or with a small team for larger projects. Have a look at some of my projects below for before and after pictures and get in touch to discuss your specific needs.

Interior work and smaller jobs

I'm happy to discuss work on a job by job basis, I've recently built decking, a bespoke pergola within existing wisterior, designed and welded a unique posting box for library books, restored antique coving in a grade listed building, as well as your more average plastering, painting, tiling, paneling and day to day handyman jobs... so do get in touch with requests.

Fees

I quote for bigger projects and then charge on a half day / full day basis for smaller projects and for designs/ plans. This rate varies depending on complexity of the job. Unfortunately I am unable to provide services on an hourly rate basis.

Kitchen refurb

This was a sustainable friendly complete new look; the old kitchen cabinetry stayed in situ, while I sanded, repainted and attached new handles to the doors, installed new integrated appliances, a new worktop, sink and ripped out the old lino flooring replacing it with these large terrazzo tiles

Living Room

This living room was taken back to brick, re-plastered and painted. I designed and moulded bespoke coving, built in shelving and cupboards on either side of the fireplace, where I had taken out a back-boiler and installed a modern bio-ethanol wood burner. I laid parquet flooring, fitted new lighting and radiators.

Garden decking

This back door opened onto a concrete section sloping upwards towards the grass. I designed decking and steps with inbuilt LED lighting, covering the slope and odd angles, creating several wide steps towards the back gate, which I adjusted and re-hung to open over the decking steps.

Bathroom re-configurement and refurb

This family bathroom began life as a separate bathroom and toilet. I removed the internal wall between them, took the now larger room back to brick, replastered, painted, tiled, installing underfloor heating, new radiator, toilet, refurbished a freestanding bath adding a shower-head and turned a chest of drawers into their bespoke sink /storage unit.

Andrei is very knowledgeable and is able to what seems like everything to a very high standard. He was thoughtful about what we wanted and how to go about it. Our downstairs loo was the task! It is a very small space and badly needed a complete refit. A further challenge was some damp patches which ultimately proved to need this little room being taken back to the brick, damp proofed and re plastered before any of the nice stuff when in. Andrei also made it more spacious by sorting the floor out so that the loo could go further back. The replastering, floor tiling and sanitary ware fitting is immaculate. It is now the nicest room in our house!!
